You love your cat, but you hate cleaning out that litter box. In fact, if you took a survey of cat owners and asked the one thing they hate about having a cat, they would likely all say the same thing: cleaning the little box. But, it’s a necessary evil, right? Not anymore!

The CatGenie self washing cat box is the answer to this awful chore. Why clean the little box when the litter box can clean itself? It sounds too good to be true, but it really isn’t.

The first thing you need to know is that the CatGenie isn’t tiny. You will need a space of approximately 24 inches deep from front to back and about 18 inches wide and 21 inches tall in order to accommodate the CatGenie. You can locate it in a bathroom, laundry room or utility room. Then you’ll need a wrench or pliers to attach the box to your water line. You’ll also need access to an electrical outlet.

Once you have selected the best location for your CatGenie, you are ready to follow the simple directions to hook it to your cold water line and also to attach the drain hose. Once set up, just add the Washable Granules (not cat litter!) to the bowl only to the fill line. Now insert the Smart Cartridge. This contains the cleaner for the unit. It is a good idea to keep extra cartridges on hand since the unit cannot work with empty cartridges.

For best results, the cleaning cycle should be run from 1 to 4 times a day for up to 3 cats. Durning a cleaning cycle, the GenieHand will scoop through the crystals to remove waste. Then water mixes with the cleaning solution and the bowl and granules are thoroughly cleaned. Water and waste drains out and then the unit goes through a dry cycle. All of this take about a half hour. Waste material and water are safely flushed into the toilet and out of your home, or out through the washer drainpipe if it is set up that way.

It’s all very simple and amazing. Once you use a CatGenie you won’t be able to think of a single thing you dislike about having a cat.
