Billie (or Billa) was found in a grocery store parking lot. Her finder took her in but was unable to keep her, so she came to MHRR in Dec '08.Billie is a sweet girl, though she can sometimes show some cage aggression. She doesn't mind being held, and loves treats. She is learning how to use a litterbox, and has occasional diarrhea. She has had this problem since she was first found - she had an intestinal parasite when she was first taken to the vet, but each subsequent test was negative. She is a beautiful color, and has the super-soft plush velvety fur of the mini-rex. Because she was found as an adult we are unsure of her age, but she doesn't appear to be a senior. Maybe 2-3 years?? She likes to receive attention, and to give it too. On her first Care Day at the rescue she was out in the ex-pens getting some fresh air, when we noticed she was grooming Romeo's ear through the ex-pen bars! We tried them together but he was a little overzealous and she wasn't too appreciative, so she would probably love to have another rabbit friend who was a little more well-behaved.Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue asks a $50 adoption fee per rabbit, or $75 for a pair. We strongly recommend indoor homes for our adopted pets. All rabbits are now tattooed 'MHR' in the ear (while under anesthesia) and are spayed/neutered before they are adopted unless our veterinarian recommends against it because of age or illness. Each adopted pet comes with an adoption certificate and packet, as well as an adoption basket with a supply of their current diet and a toy.
