BonBon came from Houston where he was a foster bun for another rabbit rescue, but wasn't able to find a home and his foster home became allergic! He arrived here at MHRR in March 2008.BonBon, whose name was originally Sitka after an Alaskan city, is a chestnut agouti mini-lop. While he is playful and pretty well litter-box trained, he does not like to be picked up or held, and on a rare occassion be cage territorial. Once he's out he's much more of a gentleman, but a home with young children should be avoided as we wouldn't want any accidentally-bitten curious fingers! With a gentle hand he can be VERY affectionate, sitting in your lap for an hour for grooming sessions or petting. If you respect his space, he will love you forever! Bon-Bon is NOT tattooed.Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue asks a $50 adoption fee per rabbit, or $75 for a pair. We strongly recommend indoor homes for our adopted pets. All rabbits are now tattooed 'MHR' in the ear (whie under anesthesia) and are spayed/neutered before they are adopted unless our veterinarian recommends against it because of age or illness. Each adopted pet comes with an adoption certificate and packet, as well as an adoption basket with a supply of their current diet and a toy. Adoption information and applications can be found at our website at http://www.magichappensrescue.com/adoptinfo.html. Want to adopt but can't? You can sponsor a rabbit, or help the bunnies in many other ways - see your website for all of our fundraisers.
