Precious and 9 of her friends/siblings came to MHRR in Feb 2010 as an owner surrender. Precious was born in Feb 2009. She is the largest (currently 10lbs. and growing!) of the bunch and the gentlest. She was brought to the LSU Vet School Open House in Feb and she did great with all the kids and commotion. All of the gang were kept outside to roam free and then in a hutch (because they began digging out of the yard) so they are not yet used to indoor life and litterboxes, but they are learning! Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue asks a $50 adoption fee per rabbit, or $75 for a pair. We strongly recommend indoor homes for our adopted pets. All rabbits are now tattooed 'MHR' in the ear (while under anesthesia) and are spayed/neutered before they are adopted unless our veterinarian recommends against it because of age or illness. Each adopted pet comes with an adoption certificate and packet, as well as an adoption basket with a supply of their current diet and a toy.
