When she came her one and only front tooth was literally grown through her jaw! She had NO fur and was as tiny as a newborn pig. I literally gave her DROPS of water every hour on the hour to ensure her survival. She now gets her tooth trimmed regularly and eats a pelleted mush made from pellets and white cranberry juice. She needs her veges cut very small but still is able to enjoy them, and she LOVES bananas! I named her Angel through tears upon her arrival cuz I was sure she literally would go back to God's loving and open arms but like a trooper that she is ....she pulled through ~!! Well, so I had to find her another name as we already had an 'Angel' named pet here-one of the female degus is Angel thus 'Bindy' became her 'first' name. Little by little, Bindy's fur came back, and so beautiful and bright white and full now- she has come along so very well as you can see by these photos of her this last past September -out in the yard and being looked over by my lovely daughter and assistant here at the Cafe, Nicole. Bindy is even a bit bigger now but will always be small because of the CRUEL and harsh beginnings of her life-sadly-she was a 'throw away' to somebody-. She will stay here and always be well cared for and very much LOVED and cherished, cuz she is a SURVIVOR and a WONDERFUL GIFT FROM GOD TO ME!!
