Description:
See Trinket's Homepage Trinket was found wandering the streets in Oklahoma. A kind lady took her to a vet because she was almost beyond help, weighing only 2.7 pounds, having no hair and a bad infection in both eyes. How could anyone let this happen to a beautiful little creature? Trinket is now on a very high quality dog food 3 times a day to put some weight on her. She currently weighs 3.8 pounds and the vet is guessing her age to be around 5 years old. Her coat is growing back silky and shiny, and her eyes are clear. I can see a hesitation in her when I go to pick her up. She's almost afraid something bad will happen to her again She does not like to let me out of her line of sight and I hear a little bark to let me know I have to come back and pick up my little velcro dog. She's a little unsteady on her back legs due to a bad knee on the left side. We will be talking to our vet about whether it should be fixed or left alone, as she gets around fine. She loves to be carried around or just snuggle up next to you. She does not like to sleep in a crate and now sleeps in bed next to my shoulder. I doubt that she will be able to go on walks but does like to wander around my back yard following me when I weed. Trinket does not like to be left behind so she needs a home where her new owner will be with her all day. She cannot go to a home that has children. After all she's been through, she shouldn't have to be alone again. Trinket will go potty outside when you take her out but she is currently wearing panties because she is not house trained. Trinket is getting used to being spoiled and I want to find her a home where she will be even more spoiled on a daily basis. She is just the sweetest, shy little girl that only needs to be reminded she is a special princess. The vet wants her to gain some weight before she can be spayed so it will probably be around the 1st of October before she can go to her new home.
