UPDATE: 09-01-08: What a little love this guy is. He likes being around his person and listens very well. He and Shalomar play, play, play. It would be wonderful (though not likely) if these two could be adopted together as they are such great buddies. He is still working on his potty training, accidents are not unheard of but I think in a home with fewer dogs he would catch on very quickly. Chewy is up-to-date with all of his vaccinations and is looking for his forever home. He is a gentle, loving little guy, does well with our grandson and would like another dog to play with. He will sit politely at treat time and when his name is called gently take the treat from my hand. He is going to make a wonderful addition to someone's family. Update 08/04/08: Chewy is a little 7lb bundle of joy! He is definitely an alpha boy and would do best in a home with a female playmate. He likes to play with the other dog and toys. This little guy will also grab a toy, wave it in front of another dog, then take off running, literally laughing as they chase him. He does like to snuggle and be close to his person, cuddling up beside you at night or curling in a little ball when he notices your lap is empty. He is not big on giving kisses, but he does enjoy a tender touch and sweet talk. He has a beautiful coat, the back of his ears are black, and he is just a wonderful dog. Chewy is located in Central Ohio and his adoption fee is $400. If you think this is the little guy for you, please press that adoption button and fill out an application for him. Update 07/19/08: Hi! I'm Chewy, a 1 yr old, 7 lb Yorkie and I'm a happy-go-lucky little guy. Foster Mom says I'm as fast as greased lightening and harder than the dickens to get a good photo of. ha ha! There are so many wonderful things to explore who wants to stand still for a picture? FM says I have a very pretty coat; I'm black & tan with some buff color mixed on my back. I like to be held but I'm selective about kisses - I had them out sparingly and make you work for them. I like other dogs, but prefer the company of the ladies although I do play with some of the guys here. I will go to the vet on 7/21/08 to be neutered and will be available for my forever home about 10 days after that. I will need my 2nd DHLPP booster on 8/12/08 but I can get it here or maybe in my new home. You'll have to talk to my foster mom about that. I'm a good little guy, use pee pads and the doggie door but there are lots of other boys here so sometimes I mark when I think foster mom is not looking. I will walk on a leash and play with other dogs. There's something called a cat here - I just ignore him. Foster mom says since I am small I would need a home with older kids - maybe 8 or so or an all adult home. If you have kids younger and think you can give me a good home, please ask my foster mom. She says I have a very good temperament and the only concern is that someone might accidentally trip or sit on me. If you are looking for a handsome guy who struts around like he owns the world - - - - - - you've found me! Please click on my adoption button and fill out an application. My adoption fee is $400. Original Bio: 07-12-08: Chewey is an owner surrender that will turn two on July 21st. He weighs 7 pounds and loves to be cuddled. He still needs to be neutered so please watch the site for updates for when he will be available for adoption.
