Description:
Please contact Cheryl (ccswires@netins.net) for more information about this pet. Our Little Lizzie, is one of the 8 former Puppymill Dogs, from MO. Lizzie came into rescue about 4 weeks ago. She is AKC reg and was born 8-2-02 She only weighed 9 pounds and was Very ill, mostly from little to no food, dehydration, hook worms. She required immediate attention and needed to be spayed. Lizzie spent several days with DR Frost, on IV Fluids, high calorie diet, antibiotics and was wormed for the hook worms. She had blood work up, Ultra sound, heartworm tested neg and it was decided her general health was really fine. So we proceeded with spay, dental and vaccinations. Lizzie came home about one week later. She now weighs almost 12 pounds, is very social with people and other dogs. Lizzie is well crate trained, has learned to walk on a leash. She can be timid with new things she doesnt quite understand, like my camera (:-) She is very loving and likes to be held and talked to. Lizzie is going to be a wonderful, petite companion for the right family. She prefers to be in the house, only goes out to potty and wants right back in. She likes to play with my little Wire Toddles and of course Ike. Everyone loves her. It is fun to watch her learn and explore. She is especially fascinated by television and is getting her Wire spirit and attitude back. Its amazing how these little Wires turn around and you can see them change into the wonderful, mischievous, animated breed they were meant to be. Rescue works and Lizzie will have a wonderful life from now on. She lives in Iowa and is ready for a loving forever home.
