Kasey is currently being treated for heartworm disease and will not be available for adoption until the end of February or mid March 2009. Kasey cannot be adopted to a hunting home. Due to the heartworm disease she will need a quiet, calm pet home with walks and playing ball in the yard. She will make a wonderful companion dog!
Kasey and her brother, Kai, came to us from northern Michigan where they were chained up in their outdoor kennels in a foot of snow. The fencing was in disrepair and rather than fixing the chain link they were chained up inside their runs. They were being cared for by the landlord of the property after their owner suddenly passed away and his family abandoned them.
Kasey has a very sweet temperament and is crate trained. She is a little shy, listens well and will learn leash manners when her heartworm treatment is completed. Kasey is extremely affectionate and loves to cuddle.
If you're interested in adopting Kasey, go to the GWP Rescue website at gwprescue.com for more information and an application. We require an adoption application to be filled out first. Due to an overwhelming amount of e-mails, we do not answer questions without an application on file.
