They must go together or they will not leave my home. Following is information on these two great dogs.
Age: 7 years old
Weight: App 70-80lbs
HW: Negative and on preventative
Car Rides: Great
Nail Clipping: Good
Other dogs: Some
Leash: Walks great
Commands: No, down, paw
Garth was pulled from a VA shelter where he languished for 1 month, no rescues would take him because he would not give eye contact. Garth was purchased from a backyard breeder at 2 and then lived on a chain for the next 5 years. Garth has a timid personality and exhibits signs of being teased or abused. He is a very gentle dog, but I do not want to place him in a home with young children. He is fine around them but uncomfortable, just waiting for something bad to happen. His previous place where he was had children and obviously they were not kind to him.
Weight: App. 70-80lbs
Car rides: Gets extremely car sick
Baths: Unknown, but with her personality I do not feel this would be an issue
Nails: Does not really like to have her nails trimmed, we are working on this
Other dogs: Appears to be good unless they are overbearing and then runs from them
Livestock: Not sure
Leash: We are working on this, a Spore Harness works well
Commands: Sit, off, down, paw
I am Zoey’s 4 person in her short life. She is a fabulous dog who needs to be placed with Garth, they love each other and have a strong bond. Zoey and Garth are your typical wonderful GSD’s with mild temperaments and very loving dogs that have not had the best of hands dealt to them. We would like to change that and have them in a loving home, where they will spend the rest of their lives and never abandoned again.
Please do not ask if they can be separated, I will not contemplate doing so. Outdoor homes will not be considered. Garth and Zoey would like to be part of a home and family. A home where they will receive the proper combination of mental and physical stimulation. A home where they will be walked and not put out in a yard as a means for exercise.
All of our animals are housed by volunteers, allowing them the opportunity to acclimate themselves to life in a home.
