I'm SPANKY, an adorable, lovable Welsh Corgi mix. I'm 1 year old and I've had quite a rough time in my short life. I was hit by a car and left in the street. Two nice people found me, wrapped me in a blanket, and brought me to Tri -County. I was rushed to the vet, who took x-rays, finding that both of my back legs were broken in several places. The next day, a specialist performed my 4 hour surgery. A month of rehabilitation followed. I have a slight 'hitch in my giddy-up' but I hardly notice as I run and play and just LOVE LIFE every single day. I can romp with the best of them here! I'm a favorite with the staff and volunteers, but I dream of a forever home of my own. I'm 60 lbs, house-trained, neutered, and happy around other dogs. I can live with older kids (over 10...I romp pretty hard for the wee ones!). I chase cats (just for fun, but they have no sense of humor!) so I should have a kitty-free home. I'm affectionate and silly and I will make you smile. LIFE IS GOOD for me now, but YOU can make it better!
