Hello: My new name is Smokey. I am such a lover. I love to be at my human's side at all times. I like to rest my chin in their laps while they watch tv. I am perfectly house-trained. I am learning to get in my crate on command, but its not my favorite thing to do. I have been left out of my crate for short periods while my foster family is away without incident. It also helps if you leave me a kong with a little peanut butter in it! I am silent when left in the crate, but I tend to bark when left out. One of my favorite things to do is play tug-a-war. The vet says I have to take it easy until I am retested for heartworms next week so I have to rest for now. I love to be outside! A nice yard would be ideal for me. I love water, and I don't have a problem jumping into a bathtub if there's water in it. I have been known to get into a pond when off-leash. I get along well with other dogs, but I would love to be the only dog. I want all the attention, and I am definitely an alpha girl. I am protective of my family and the resident weim. I am very smart and a little stubborn. I know sit, shake, and down. I will snuggle in bed with you if you let me. Due to my lack of spatial awareness I will need a home with children over the age 10. I am just a little aggressive with food and my toys. Remember I was a stray. We are working on this. I need lots of love and a little discipline, and I will make a great companion.
