Belle Blu is a blue 7 year old female. Belle's ideal new home would be with a family who has another dog she can hang out with and with a family that is around a lot of the time. She won't make a running or jogging companion because she has an old injury in her front leg that sometimes causes her to limp. Short walks or hikes are fine, but nothing too strenuous. She loves to be where you are, Belle is a great companion Weim and would be an awesome first time Weim if you are new to the breed! Belle came to us as a very faded blue 7 year old female, an epitome of a dog needing to be rescued. She joined our MHWR family after a kind samaritan a.k.a. Belle's 'guardian angel' arranged for her escape. Belle lived most of her life confined, isolated and neglected. When we heard how and where she was living it was beyond upsetting and incomprehensible. If you'd really like a true 'rescued weim' Belle may be the sweetheart for you. She is very appreciative of the simple things in life; grass under her feet, twice daily meals, fresh water and soft clean bedding. Welcome to your new life Belle Blu! Update from AMAZING foster family 8/19- Miss Belle has come a long way in two months. She has put on appropriate weight and her coat looks healthy now. Belle is housebroken! :-) She doesn't mind the kennel, but prefers a doggie bed or sofa. Belle has adjusted well to our pack of 3 weims. She has learned to sit for treats and comes just like our other 'Why-Must-I?-raners'. Belle has found her youth again as she plays with our 2-1/2 yo female, yet settles down when we do. She walks well on a leash, but really likes the off-leash hikes in the country and mountains. Sweet girl. Ready for her new loving home!
