Luke is a handsome hound / maybe beagle mix. Typical of most hounds, he loves to be a member of the pack and would love a home with another dog. He needs to be crated when left alone and can be vocal in the crate, so someone who is home a good portion of the day would be ideal. He is a very needy boy, and really likes to be with his people. His music would probably not go over well in an apartment. Luke is also an energetic boy who loves to play. A home experienced with hounds would be a plus. Cats are a bit too interesting for him, so he needs a feline-free home. Luke hasn''t had much direction in his life thus far. He would flourish with someone who could set and enforce boundaries for him and teach him good behaviors (like not jumping up and how to walk politely on a leash). Since he has been here, Luke''s leash manners have greatly improved. He is also working on sitting politely before doors are opened and for his meals.
