Please contact Roger or Lori (upnorthrescue@earthlink.net) for more information about this pet. Thank you for considering an Up North Furkid! All dogs are located near Duluth MN. >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< Fiji came to us from a California shelter situation. She's a very pretty little girl with intense amber eyes. She loves to cuddle and wants to be your velcro dog - hanging out with you all the time! She rides well in the car and enjoys going out. Fiji's leg was broken but the vet has totally cleared her and she's 100% again :) The cast is gone and we are just working to get her strength back in it. She's coming along perfectly! Fiji isn't too excited about cats... ok she's too excited about them and doesn't get along with them very well. She chases. This is something to keep in mind. If you are looking for a wonderful companion, Fiji may just be your girl! >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< >*< Up North Rescue, based out of the Duluth MN area, is a volunteer group who love and care for dogs in need in their homes. Up North does not have a central shelter for the dogs - instead, the dogs are brought from horrendous conditions into the warmth and love of a home. We focus on the rehabilitation of puppy mill dogs - generally small and medium breeds. They learn what carpet is, stairs are and how nice a comfy couch is! An excellent site to learn more about puppy mills is No Wisconsin puppy mills. Our adoption process is as follows:1) Email us at upnorthrescue@earthlink.net for an adoption application (this doesn't obligate you to adopt but is the first step)2) We get your application and begin checking references.3) Once that is done, there is a home visit scheduled, adoption fee to be paid, the contract to be signed and then if all goes well, you have a new furkid to love and to have love you! ***Up North Rescue DOES NOT ship. It is the responsibility of the new adopter to arrange pick up. Depending on distance, an Up North volunteer may bring the furkid to a meeting spot or on the home visit. Please work with the Up North volunteer to make arrangements.*** ***Up North Rescue does not adopt out to homes with unaltered pets or that have pets that are not up to date on required vaccinations.*** Adoption fees are:$250.00 for puppies 1 year and under$200.00 for adult dogs 1 to 10 years$150.00 for senior dogs over 10 years
