Please contact humanesociety@murray-ky.net for more information about this pet. Humane Society of Calloway County P. O. Box 764 607 Poplar Street Murray, Kentucky 42071 270-759-1884 humanesociety@murray-ky.net www.forthepets.org BREEZY is an outgoing, happy two-year-old terrier mix. She came to us with her three six-week-old puppies in late Jan. 2010. She is a very sweet girl and is small, too, weighing only 10 pounds. She is playful and loves to play with the terrier in her foster home; however, she isn't hyper. BREEZY loves being with people and is curious about everything that is going on. She and the terrier in her foster home loved playing in the show the first time in their lives. BREEZY is doing well with her crate and housetraining, having only once accident since being at her foster home. She is spayed and up-to-date on her shots, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed. BREEZY is an absolutely delightful little girl who is ready for a loving home of her very own. If you would like to add BREEZY to your family, her adoption donation is $125. Please read the guidelines for adoption and complete the adoption application if you are interested in adopting BREEZY! Dog Adoption Guidelines You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. You can fill out an application at www.forthepets.org/adoption.htm or email to humanesociety@murray-ky.net for an application. It is not a 'first come' process; we try to 'match' the dog with the family for a FOREVER home. We process all applications at once and take the dog off the site, place on adoption pending status until a decision is made. If a suitable home is not found, the dog returns to active status. The dog adoption process can take about two weeks; we are a small group of volunteers who have full time jobs. We do not fly or ship our dogs due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the dog back in the cabin (size restrictions) with you, that would be considered. If you apply to adopt a dog and are chosen, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the dog and fill out the paperwork in person. We do adopt out-of-state, but we do not transport. We can't provide individual 'meet and greet' sessions for each applicant. If chosen to adopt, you will have time to visit with the dog before signing any paperwork and will not be committed to adopt if you choose not to at that time. Breezy is up-to-date with routine shots and house trained. ADOPTION GUIDELINES You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. Please email the Cat Adoption Coordinator at paws2consider@yahoo.com for an application or the Dog Adoption Coordinator at dboaz@wkblue.net. You may also call us at 270-759-1884 or visit our website at www.forthepets.org to download an application. Please, serious inquiries only. This is not a “first come” process, we try to match the pet with a home that will be a Forever Home. We are a small group of volunteers that have full-time jobs. The time to process an application can vary depending on the availability of the Adoption Team, the information provided on the application (whether it is Completely filled out) and the number of applicants for that pet. We do try to process them in as timely a fashion as possible. We do consider out-of-state adoptions, however, we do not fly or ship our pets due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the pet back in the cabin with you, that would be considered. If you apply to adopt a pet and are selected, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the pet and fill out the paperwork in person. Most likely, if you are selected and come to Murray to meet the pet, the adoption will be approved. However, this is not 100%, as we cannot be certain that the pet and you will click in person. Therefore, you would not be committed to the adoption, nor would we, should either party feel that it was not a good match. If the application process goes this far, however, more than likely it will be a success!
