Please contact Lucy (lucylovesmutts@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Gigi came to us in heartbreaking condition. The man who brought her informed us that she had been running wild for at least a year in this condition. She has virtually no hair with a bad skin infection. The hairloss is due to a kind of mange - probably red mange or demodex. This will be confirmed by a vet this week. Red mange is NOT contagious and is CURABLE. She will always have the gene - so must never have pups but should be able to live the rest of her life with never seeing it again. She IS being treated and her hair should begin to grow soon. She is also HEARTWORM FREE!!! YAY!!
