Mocha was found running the streets at large.... malnourished and underweight; hair loss from too many fleas; cuts and abrasions on her face; obvious signs of having had litters of puppies... Another abandoned pitbull 'breeding machine'...
Rescued from the streets (after seeing her for more than 2 weeks) by an 88-year old couple who had their own physical problems but whose hearts were big and caring. They let Mocha stay in their backyard and garage while she healed and rested and put on weight. They also brought her in for a veterinary check-up and eventually had her spayed. They said if they were younger, they would keep Mocha because they were so charmed by her.
It is easy to understand why. Despite the troubles and challenges of her life, Mocha manages to keep a big smile on her face and greet everyone with a happy wagging tail. She is as sweet and friendly and affectionate and gentle as can be. Also a quick learner... She learned right away to sit and wait for her food (and never showed any food-possession). She is also very appreciative and well-mannered ...no barking or complaining or trying to dig or climb her way out of the yard.
. Mocha has just recently moved into a foster/boarding situation and is hoping to find her very own home soon. She will not only be a wonderful dog to train and teach but she is sure to bring her new family alot of love... and happy smiles... Mocha would be fine as an only pet or placed with a well-matched male dog.
Please give Mocha the caring and committed home she has never known!
