Description:
Please contact Tina (rwladywolf@verizon.net) for more information about this pet. Mickey is big, goofy eight month-old adolescent German shepherd/Husky mix. He was in vector control for six weeks before going into foster and didn’t know any boundaries or have any impulse control. He is a very exuberant, active boy. His foster mom believes he didn’t have much direction as a younger pup and now tries to be the alpha. He is learning that the leadership position is not his place in the “pack”. He gets along with other dogs but does like his play time to be rough and tumble. Right now he’s a bit too interested in the cats in the house but may ease up as he matures. Mickey has shown some potential as an agility dog or possibly even canine freestyle (dance). Foster mom needs more time to determine if it’s just his goofy puppy ways or if he can really be a star. He does seem to have the “ham” gene in his puppy bones. Mickey will need an active, dog-savvy home that understands about canine hierarchy and how to keep him feeling safe. He is not ready for his lifetime home yet as he has much to learn about being a good family member. But, stay tuned and watch his progress; maybe someday you can be Mickey’s forever home! His adoption fee is $195.00 Please do not call Vector Control to inquire about adoptions.
