Duchess was rescued at the end of 2005 from an Animal Control shelter that still uses the gas chamber. She was an owner-surrender and her time was up. Fortunately, we found her in time to make sure she got a second chance with a new family. We adopted her to a wonderful family about three years ago, but unfortunately one of the owners recently passed away, so Duchess found herself back at The Old Dog House.
Duchess is about five years old and weighs 40 pounds. Fun must be her middle name because she truly enjoys her life! She is quite an active girl, so her new family must be willing and able to give her the daily exercise she requires. Duchess loves all toys and regularly carries them around with her. She gets along with cats and absolutely loves other dogs, so we feel it is in her best interest to have a doggie brother or sister at her new home. Duchess is heartworm negative, current on all shots - including Rabies, and spayed. She is a terrific dog that will make a wonderful pet.
