Barney is the most loving wonderful dog you could ask for, especially when you look at the life he has led up to last month. When we got him he was quite thin, full of worms and very uncomfortable. He also has some BB's in him. Apparently there are parts of the Detroit Metro area that use dogs as target practice. The female (KatieK - pronounced 'katie kay') that was running with him also has BB's. My heart just aches for them. Barney responds quite quickly to commands. He walks very nicely on a leash. He is just learning that people will not always abuse him. That is what he expects. It is quite sad to see him cringe. He has never been aggressive to people. If anything he 'turns off' though he is starting to play and be happy once again. We would recommend he be in a home without cats. He weighs about 70 pounds, and is house and crate trained.
