Please email the contact above to find out about sponsorship, fostering, and other ways you can help this animal! Please note that financial sponsorship will be applied to the specific animal you indicate unless it is not needed, at which time we will let you designate it for another HT animal of your choice. You can save animals by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please click here. This beautiful girl is looking for a warm bed and a family to call her own. Laverne is a 4-5 year old black and tan female Shepherd/rottweiler mix. She seems to be good with other dogs and is living with one now.Laverne was stuck in an outdoor rural shelter where she isn't getting much love or attention. Life without her own family was getting very old and boring. Laverne is now living in Arlington, Virginia and would really love a family that will give her a chance . Can you give her a soft bed and spend some time taking her for a walk? She'll pay you back with lots of love and kisses. Please make Laverne the newest member of your family. The adoption fee for this dog is $275, which covers the cost of routine vet care, as well as spay/neuter surgery.
