Description:
Skippy is a 6 1/2 year old male. He is small - weighing only 13 lbs. He is good with kids, dogs and cats (though he will chase them if they run). He is housebroken and crate trained. He loves sitting on a lap, just getting petted. He will make a family a great companion. Well this is his story... Skippy was originally from a breeder in the North Platte area and that breeder was going to put him to sleep. The previous owners (that surrendered him) got him and had him for about a year. With that year Skippy got hurt on his back by another dog. (On top of his shoulders) He is fine now but that area of his back the hair is not growing back. Also it looks like he had a hair cut because his body color is brown (his undercoat). Also his Left ear was nipped off but that was before the previous owners got him. Today Skippy has met my Schip's & Sheltie are they are buddies now. He is a very sweet dog and wants to be loved. This afternoon he laid on my lap for about 3 hrs and went to sleep. He temperament is good and not aggressive. 'I was given up by my owner because I was not getting along with the female Schip already in the family. Now I need a new home were I can be the only dog or with a well adjusted dog. I don't like my toe nails done so it will take some time to get those taken care of. I like to be petted. I do like kids over the age of 10 yrs old. I can sleep in a crate but would like to sleep on a dog pillow. My friends feel that I have may have been hit on my rear one to many times so I don't like by rear touched.I just need a home and tlc and I will be the best house dog.'Love Skippy Skippy is in foster care in Nebraska.
