Wrigley came to the shelter as a stray. He is a petite retriever mix about a year old. When we say petite, he weighs in at about 30 pounds. He likes other dogs, did not seem to mind the cats, and likes attention. Wrigley is now in the prison program where inmates foster some of our dogs, teach them basic commands and work on housebreaking. Here is what his handler has to say, ' Wrigley likes to play with other dogs and loves his toys. He will get on furniture but get down when told. He will chase the birds, so boundary training is not working well on him. He is very smart and knows his basic commands and a couple tricks. He would love to go home soon. To meet a prison dog, you need to fill out an adoption application and be pre-approved. Once approved, a date and time will be set up to pull the dog from prison to meet at the shelter. Adoption applications can be filled out at our website of www.hsmcohio.com.
Our adoption fee is $105.00 which includes a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, deworming, heartworm testing if old enough, and spay or neuter. Plus has a 1 year rabie. If you are interested in this dog, please call the shelter at 740-852-PETS or fill out an online application at www.hsmcohio.com
