Description:
Bailey is a beautiful, about year old, pureblood RedBone Coonhound. He was rescued from a wooded area, staving. He is a gentle dog, so loving and eager to please. Bailey has suffered terribly at the hands of a cruel owner, including an attempt at neutering that left him badly infected. He has had heartworms and been treated for that, so heartworms will never be a problem for him. Bailey's cruel owner also tried to dock his tail, and failed. He has a bent tail now. But it doesn't affect his ability to show his happiness. He just wags his whole backend! He is putting on weight and is so happy to belong, even if for a short time. He gets along great with our gentle Yellow Lab and our little German Shepherd mix puppy. Bailey is fully housetrained and walks very well on a leash. He is also an excellent car rider. He is just learning his sit command and doing a fine job. Now that his infection is under control and he has gained some strength, Bailey is playing and running around like a puppy! He will make someone a great companion. As a hound he will need a fenced yard or regular walks. (Otherwise he'll be off following a scent!)
