Description:
Tucker, four years old male rat terrier, was found abandoned in a house when his family moved out and left him behind. He was rescued by Fur Angels. HereÂs what the foster mother has to say about him: Tucker is a very fun loving little guy. He's shy at first but once you get to know him, he's all yours. For such a little guy he has a huge heart! He gets along well with others, big dogs to little dogs. He can be a little intimidated if a medium size dog plays to hard but will just try to avoid the dog until Tucker gets a few minutes of rest. Likes cats, will rub up against a cat and go nose to nose just to give kisses. Likes to play with toys but they should be small since he has a little mouth. Loves to cuddle and get his belly rubbed. He will bark when there is an intruder but he's generally quiet. Will greet you at the door tail wagging and all. He does have a potty problem inside the house but his foster Mommy is working on that and he is showing signs of improvement. Can you blame him for having potty issue when he was left behind, with no food and no way to go outside to relieve himself? He had to learn to go potty in the house. Because he was left without food, to starve, and was on the thin side when he was finally rescued. He first demonstrated some food aggression because he never knew when heÂd get fed next. HeÂs now showing a lot of improvement once he knows heÂll always be fed. . He can be an escape artist so a secured fence is a must. He likes to be picked up but he can be stiff at first but will relax after a few minutes. Loves to sleep on pillows and your bed, he will curl up next to you and wait patiently until you wake up. His beautiful brown eyes smile when you open your eyes and he will greet you with kisses. HeÂs neutered, up to date on his vacations, is heartworm negative and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $250.00. If youÂre interested in giving him a wonderful forever home, please go to www.furangelsas.org and fill out our online application.
