Hi there my name is Drusilla and I am about 6 yrs old,the name is like the character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I am not vampire that's for sure. I lost my vision, we don't know why but I am trying really hard to adjust to my loss of sight. My foster mom says that I am super mellow for a black pug, you we black pugs have a reputation of being 'wild ones'! I don't bark a lot, I have barked maybe 2 times since I have been living with my foster family. I am a typical pug, I would rather sleep on top of my people than to lay in some doggie bed even if it's super soft and big. On nice days I like to go outside, lay down in the grass and take a little snooze, it's like getting in touch with mother nature. I love being with my people, and if you want company in a drive some place I am your pug, I love to go for rides in the car. I love my chew bones, it's one of my favorite past times just to lie on the floor and chew away. I can be a little protective of my food bowl, I will growl if another dog comes near to let them know it's my bowl and I am not sharing. As much as I like the outdoors, I am not crazy about going for walks, my foster mom says she thinks it has to do with my not being familiar with where I am. I also have Stenotic Nares, which is basically pinched nostrils so it makes air flow a little hard and I also have Elongated Soft Palat, which is the flap of skin at the back of the throat. If it's two long it blocks airway making it hard to breath. Because of all of this I snore and breath very loud. Anyway, that's my story and I am sticking to it.
