Description:
Please contact Andrea (harmona1@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet. (22SEP09) Nemo came to our rescue when his owner could no longer keep him due to health problems in her family. Nemo appears to be a Yorkipoo (Yorkshire Terrier and Poodle). He's about 6-7 yrs old, and weighs just under 14 lbs. Nemo is very active, spunky, and is a lot of fun. He's a super sweet boy with a great personality. Nemo is quite amusing when he pounces on a rope toy and shakes it with all his might, growling the whole time! And even in the midst of excited play, Nemo will still drop the toy and sit when told. He also sort of knows how to shake (give paw). Nemo is super sweet and wants to be near his person whenever possible. When he's not running around having fun, he is perfectly content to curl up on your lap or the couch next to you. Nemo came from a home with dogs and kids, and is now fostered with cats, as well (although he's a little scared of them). He does not seem to care much for the dogs, but I think that's more becasue he doesn't see them as clearly as he'd like. He is crate trained, and mostly housebroken (past owner said he had occasional accidents, but he has not had any in his foster home).Nemo suffers from juvenile cataracts, and is losing his sight. His depth perception is not all it should be, and he has a lot more trouble seeing in lower light. He is easily startled if he doesn't know you're coming, so he should not be in a home with small children.
