Her condition left us speechless. It is beyond our comprehension how someone can let bad things happen to such a sweet dog. Rosita came to SmallDog Rescue from a local animal shelter. The animal control staff almost euthanized her, but shaved away her disgusting, debris-filled mats instead. What they found under the mess was a tiny, sweet, friendly, affectionate apricot poodle whose tail wagged non-stop. She is painfully thin and suffering from advanced cataracts – despite her age, estimated at five years old. SDR has set to work, lavishing this little angel with TLC to bring her back to good health, so that she will be ready soon for her forever home. No small children, please, for Rosita. We've had Rosita evaluated, and have learned that her cataracts can be repaired. See more about Bonita’s special needs and how you can help by visiting her in our Critical Care Unit (CCU).
