Mara is my little cute, black/wht ticked, miniture poodle foster girl. We think she is around 5 or6 yrs but it is hard to tell with all her dental work! She was saved from the life of a breeding dog at a puppy mill. She had a lot of litters but thankfully she was pulled out of that bad situation with 6 others. Mara and her friends had a bad life there. Their was poor quality food, and no vet care. She came through it all with a loving but nature. Almost all 6 miniature poodles had most of their teeth pulled during their vet visit. Mara had all her teeth pulled and she feels so much better! Silly girl eats little bites right along with the smaller dogs plus the treats she gets spoiled with. The plight of a mill dog is horrendous and Mara came through better then most. She loves attention once she is sure of the people in her life. It is easy to gain her trust by ignoring her and just carry on with the other dogs and she blends right in. We do all in-home care so when she is comfortable she comes up on the couch by you and will paw your leg. She will be jumpy at first but then she bonds for life. I have her going urinating outside now as long as I take her out frequently. We are now working on her stools. She would already be house trained if she had more one on one care. She is off lease trained with me but I have had her a year. After she bonds with a new owner I am sure she would be the same with them. Mara likes to be brushed is ok with bathing and loves body massages. With the right loving home and a Little patients she would bond tight and be a faithful companion for life. She is a honey and is about as tall as my cat lol. Mara's adoption donation is $80.00 to help cover her vet bills and other incurred costs. her adoption donation is lower as we put $1,000.00 into the 5 rescues but we just want her to have a permanent great home.To make an appointment to see Mara or to ask more about her call (608) 448-2320 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
