Huggers came to us from a puppymill, he is between 1 and 2 years of age. He was so badly matted that the poor boy had to have his full coat completely shaved down. His coat is coming back but still has a long way to go before its the lush coat that was shaved off. When Huggers first came to his foster Mom from a puppy mill, he would not walk on the floor. He would starve rather than to get down from the couch or bed to eat. He is now playing with other dogs, and at night when noone is looking, he gets down on the floor and plays with toys and eats. Huggers will need a very patient special person to become the wonderful boy we know. He does have some of the puppymill issues, therefore chews his nails, is afraid to walk through doors, and hugs you so tightly when you pick him up that his name just may stick. He tries never to 'go' in the house, and needs chew toys to occupy him. If you have a lot of love and patience, this dog would be so grateful. Could you be the one to bring him out of his nightmare? His foster Mom is very attached and would like to stay in contact.
