Lucy is a super cute tiny 5 pound toy Pomeranian, approximately 10-12 years old. When we rescued Lucy she was very skittish and cowered and growled around dogs and people. She had very little hair, a bad skin condition, poor teeth and was severely malnourished and under weight. While she is still frightened by loud noises, busy places and new people Lucy has really blossomed into a wonderful dog: she is friendly, has a beautiful coat of fur, and has filled out perfectly. She is house trained and is a very happy dog who thoroughly enjoys life. At her foster home she loves to go outside and sunbathe all day in the back yard. She has a heart murmur that requires daily medication and it is best if Lucy does not go for walks as this exacerbates her cough which is related to her heart murmur. Other than the usual arthritis and wobbly knees- all very common for senior poms, she is as cute as a button and a show stopper. Lucy is an independent dog – not needy at all, but since she is a senior, we would like her to have company as much as possible. Also, because Lucy can’t go for walks and loves to sun bathe, she will need to a go to a home where she has a yard. SO, the best home for Lucy will not have children, will have someone home most/all of the day, will have a yard that she has access to and someone who will love and care for her in her golden years!
