Description:
Izzy is a Pointer/Terrier mix and is about 7 months old. Extremely sweet and outgoing little girl that loves to be with her family and go for car rides. She has been spayed and has had all of her vaccinations and is currently on heartworm preventative. She is extremely affectionate and always ready to play and to learn. She is also quite mischeivious and will run from you if she thinks for a moment that she might be in trouble. She has done very well with both my 4 year old and my infant son although I think she would be better suited for a home with slightly older children due to her size. She is quite tall and still jumps up. Consistancy and training will be key for this girl. She already knows how to fetch, sit, shake and lie down--especially if you have a treat! She doesn't have an issue with water and would probably be a great dog on the lake. I think that swimming might suit her well. She has a wirehair coat, and as you can see is brown and white; her brown patches are slightly brendaled. She also points. She could possibly make a good hunting dog...? She is working on leash-training. She does well in the house and would be a lap dog if her size would permit it! She has done well in the fenced back yard and also with my other dog. Given the opportunity to put down roots, I think that she will be very protective of her family. I also think that she will be a highly devoted and loyal companion to the right person.
