This sweet dog is IN DANGER of EUTHANASIA at the Carson Shelter, please go DIRECTLY there to adopt!
I work as a volunteer with Torrance Animal Control is assisting them with wildlife rescue and rehab. I am not employed by any Agency. At this time they have contacted me to help them find a home for a very loving dog that was hit by a car. This dog has been to the Vet and has its front leg in a cast. There is also a slight fracture to the pelvis and the Vet does not feel it necessary to have the dog put down. I do not do domestic pets but I have agreed to help with this special case. Duke, the dog has not been claimed by his owners and it has been a few days now since he came into the hands of Torrance Animal Control.I have contacted no less than ten rescue groups and no one is interested once I tell them that Duke is a Pitt Bull. They aren't interested that even through this trauma, he is very affectionate and not snappy. If Duke leaves the Torrance AC and goes to the Shelter, he may not survive this ordeal or be cared for properly. He needs to be worked with to walk. Please don't let this happen to Duke. I am exhausted in finding placement, no one wants him.I can be reached at 310-259-0734
