Description:
Please contact Tammi (tammikinrup@yahoo.com), (859) 620-5323 for more information about this pet. Tiger was kept on a chain his first 10 months of life at an automotive business. He was put inside in a cage in bad weather, but never had the loving home and family. So he was unsocialized with most people and dogs. In mid-February of 2009, Eric Humbert, a dog trainer who specializes in the stronger breeds agreed to come out and assessed Tiger. Eric has been Tiger’s hero, for he not only assessed him, he has practically adopted Tiger while he is working with him to teach him manners and behavior so he can be adopted. We got Tiger off the chain in Feb. 2009, and Eric arranged for Tiger to be boarded at a wonderful Pet Care Facility in Cincinnati called The Pet Spot. Eric has worked with Tiger there almost every day including training, long walks, runs, bike rides, and even being fostered at Eric’s own home. So now, We are ready to find Tiger his forever home. Here are the facts about Tiger: High Energy, one year old Shar Pei/Pit mix, neutered and vetted, heartworm negative, loves people and other dogs. Tiger is unknown with cats, and will need a strong, loving, experienced owner who can and will attend to Tiger’s high energy and need for a lot of daily exercise. Also, Eric feels that Tiger will continue to thrive with continued training with the new owner to cement and re-enforce all that Eric has helped Tiger with so far. Tiger is a great dog, very loving and loyal, and he can’t wait to find that forever, loving home. Please contact Tammi Kinman Ruppert at Dogs Deserve Better at (859) 620-5323 if you are interested in Tiger. All of our Dogs are up to date on vaccines, on flea and heart worm preventative and spayed/neutered. There is an adoption application and a home visit to ensure than none of our Dogs will ever be chained/penned again
