This poor guy was found in very bad condition about 2 months ago. He is about one year old. This is what his kind rescuers had to say about him: He's terrified of strangers. We think he may have escaped from a dog fighting situation. When we found him, he had several open wounds, was seriously underweight, and wouldn't come anywhere near a human. It looked, in fact, like he'd never had a single positive human interaction in his life. It took an entire day to get him into our backyard. Within a few days, he started warming up to us and began learning to take cues from humans. We got him his shots, got him neutered, and gave him lots of food. He's now quite healthy, knows the Sit command, is crate-trained, goes for regular walks (he pulls a lot, but he's doing betterhe used to just freeze up whenever he heard an unfamiliar sound), and happily plays with our other dogs every day. He's still afraid of strangers, but he's getting better. He has no aggression whatsoeverhe just needs lots of love and needs to be around other dogs so he can learn from them how to be a dog. But he's a very sweet dog. He lays with us on the couch, eats with the other dogs, gets very excited to go on walks, and is very attentive to us. He's constantly learning from us and the other dogs, and he's so much happier than he used to be, but he needs a good forever home with someone who can continue training him and building up his self-esteem.
