Description:Hi Everybody! My name is Natalie, or Nattie or Nattie Kay. Wow, it’s a relief to be here with the wonderful people from Pap911. For the past 7 or 8 years my life hasn't been nearly this good. See I lived in a place called a commercial breeding facility (aka puppy mill) where I was bred over and over again and my sweet babies were taken away from me way too soon. A momma loves all their babies ya know. When I could no longer make enough babies to warrant feeding me I was taken out of my jail and handed over to a lovely lady named Suzanne who took me for my very first car ride in the sunshine. That “outside” place sure was big & scary, but I really learned to like it. Suzanne took me & my friend Tex to meet my foster family. And boy were we in for a surprise. We had a big place to live with a door that we can go in & out and in & out and in & out into the outside kennel as much as we want to. I really liked that door and soon discovered how much fun it is to bark at the things they call birds, squirrels and rabbit, even a cat now & then. My foster family had this crazy contraption called a garden sprinkler that would come on at different times of the day to give the garden a drink & wow did I have a good time talking to that thing.
My friend Tex was very sick and very very underweight when we got to our foster family so we got a special pardon from the boss to go from the isolation kennel to the house really fast as soon as we had our tests done. I watched over my friend Tex for a long time, he was so weak and sick. Foster mom sat with us sometimes all night begging Tex to eat & get healthy I was a good helper too. While Tex was getting better I got to go to the nice doggy doctors and have my teeth cleaned and my baby stuff taken out so that I'm all ready for adoption.
The human’s best guess is that I'm between 7-8 years old and I weigh about 7-1/2 pounds. I'm a real beauty with my long ear fringes and cute button nose. I am friendly with other dogs and cats and I like to rub noses with the bunny rabbit too. I like to play with toys and chew on bully sticks or bones. I like to explore outside in the fenced yard but I'm still not too keen on that leash thing they use to take me for walks yet. It’s scary! I'm afraid those people will choke me with it cause ya know.. they don't always know what us dogs are thinking when they have the other end of that thing. I like to snuggle up next to you and be petted, I don't mind baths or nail trims, I'm not crazy about being picked up initially but as soon as I trust you aren't going to handle me roughly or drop me I'll relax and snuggle in. I'm trying really hard to get lots of good girl treats for going potty outside, but sometimes 7 years of potty habits are hard to change so I do still have accidents inside but will use a cloth potty pad and not go all over anymore. Would it be ok if we keep working on that? I hope you won't hold it against me.
I would really love to have a forever family who will love me for the playful little girl I am. Don't worry about my age either cause I sure don’t act it. Foster mom says I'm going through my second puppyhood since I never got to be a puppy in the bad place I came from. I say I'm just having the time of my life and being a little naughty sometimes is fun!! Won’t you please contact the wonderful folks at Pap911 and fill out an application to adopt me? Please also consider giving my friend Tex a home, we really love each other & would like to stay together if possible.
Oh and I almost forgot to mention… if you have one of those appliances in the kitchen with a treat dispenser right in the door of it that would be a tremendous perk. I love to eat ice treats!! Cubes, crushed, chopped doesn’t matter I just think ice crunchies are the bestest in the whole world!
