Our beautiful McKenzie is a rather rare Landseer mix dog, a variety Of Newfoundland named after the famous 19th century painter, Sir Edwin Landseer, who loved to paint these dogs. At one pont, this breed almost completely disappeared, but it was brought back by crossing St. Bernards and Great Pyrenees. This is a big dog who is completely at home in the water and is known to be affectionate, courageous, intelligent, and friendly to children. McKenzie is all of those things, as well as good with other dogs, even cats. She is a little shy at first meetings, but will warm up when she knows she can trust the newcomers. She gets great comfort from other dogs when she is not sure of what to do in a new situation, so she would be the perfect dog for someone looking to add another dog to their household. You are going to enjoy her long, thick fur that is so soft to the touch, and her big, expressive, dark eyes. She would love to give you her heart forever.
