Description:
Update 10/04/08 - Kiko is doing great, and he's a total charmer. He remains on his prescription dog food (Hills, available at most vet offices), and has no more diarrhea. He's constant motion (except for when he wants to snuggle), and his ideal home will have another young doggy playmate, preferably female. Kiko and JJ are best friends, and preference will be given to a home who adopts them as a pair. Kiko is an adorable 'parti-colored' Miniature Schnauzer that is looking for a new home. He gets his unusual coloring because disreputable breeders mixed other terriers - possibly Jack Russells or Fox Terriers - with Schnauzers to satisfy buyers looking for 'designer dogs.' Kiko is still a puppy, has tons of energy, and is happy all the time. His little tail and butt rarely stop wiggling, and he's always carrying around a toy in his mouth trying to find a playmate. Kiko's ideal home will have another young dog for him to play with, but he MUST be fed separately because he is very food possessive around other dogs. He's harmless to humans, but may frighten young kids because he can be very noisy. Kiko has made great strides, and now sits and waits for his treat or meal, but he must have an experienced owner who will to continue to work with him. Kiko is a little bundle of love and will be a treasured family member. He has been neutered, microchipped, screened for heartworm and intestinal parasites, updated on rabies and distemper vaccines, and has been groomed since these pictures were taken. When he was surrendered to rescue, Kiko had chronic diarrhea. He is fine now but will need to remain on prescription food (Hills w/d dry), available from your vet.
