We think little Prudence...aka Prui...might be a Schnauzer mix, but we're not sure as she's a pound dog. She was picked up roaming and was emaciated, filthy, and matted to the skin. When our rescue went to get her, we were surprised to find that she had given birth to six puppies IN THE POUND! We lost one, but the others did just fine (see Otto, Oliver, and Otis). Prui has put on quite a bit of weight, her pups are weaned, and she's now ready for the loving home that she so deserves! She is an incredibly sweet dog and very smart. She has learned sit, stay, lie down, no, uh-uh, dance around, will beg for treats, is wonderful on and off leash, is totally housetrained, uses a doggie door and does fine in a crate. She's great with other dogs and with cats. We think she would also do well with kids...she is very gentle and has a 'soft' mouth. She weighs only about 12 lbs, and is apx. 11 in. at the shoulder. As her coat grows out, she will need regular grooming.Prui's in-state adoption fee is $150, includes fix and shots. Out-of-state fee is $30 more, and adopter must be willing to travel to Utah.Download an adoption application at www.wagntrain.org (click on the 'adoption' paw) or email us for a cut & paste application.
