Hi my name is Shelly. I was given that name when I came into a local no-kill shelter in 2004 as a puppy with my sister. We grew too big to be housed in the same kennel and we were separated. My sister was adopted by a wonderful family but I was continually overlooked by daily visitors. After years of being passed by I was placed in the holding kennels for a 're-evaluation' . I am not sure what that meant but I knew it was not a good thing. Then out of nowhere a great thing happened!!!! One of the volunteers rescued me just before the other place was going to have me put down. Sadly she did not adopt me but took me to her rescue where I have more yard time and am treated like a queen until I find my forever home....Since I am high energy, it has really helped me to run and play with the other dogs (something I was never allowed to do). My social skills need a little polishing so I would be happy with an owner that is familiar with the strong-will of my breed and willing to take me to obedience school. I am good with other dogs after the ground has been tested. I am also fond of little dogs but too rough with cats and children. I have been spayed and I am up to date on all my shots. I come with a free month of pet insurance. I am anxiously awaiting to make someone the perfect pet...just give me the chance! Adoption fee $150.
