Lucy attended manners camp where she was taught some sign language. She knows the commands for come, sit, down, stay and watch me. Because Lucy is 2 years old, she is not always in the mood to 'listen' to her sign language and will just simply turn her head away from you. Because of her deafness, her other senses are heightened. Lucy MUST go to a home with a fenced in yard where she cannot see cars, bicycles, golf carts, etc. because she will bark non-stop as she is very stimulated by the moving objects.
Lucy is ok with most other small dogs, but she does not like big dogs at all. Because Lucy wants to be the dominant dog it is required that she meet any potential adopters current dogs to ensure they will get along. Lucy does not like cats and will bark at the sight of them.
Lucy is a very lovable girl and enjoys snuggling, being held and played with. She will make a great addition to the right home. If you think you might be the right home for Lucy, please feel free to fill out an application for her. Lucy is looking forward to getting her own forever home.
Lucy is being fostered near Indianapolis, IN. Because she is special needs, Lucy must be adopted close to her foster home. Lucy is an alpha female and must meet all of your dogs before an adoption can take place. A yard with a fence that Lucy cannot see through is a must for any applicant, no exceptions.
