9-5-09 Little Arianna was released from a puppymill in Missouri and is now safe with us. She and 16 other dogs recently made the trip to Iowa to start the journey to a better life. Many of these dogs end up at auction where they are sold to the highest bidder, usually another puppymill operator. What little information we have on her is that she is said to be 8 years old and that is all we know. She is very tiny at less than 6 lbs. so a home with small children is definitely not for her. She is fine with other friendly dogs and these dogs actually do better with another dog in the home to show them the ropes. She has now been vaccinated, heartworm tested, de-wormed and frontlined. All of this i am sure for the first time in her life! Her teeth are horrible and she is scheduled for a dental and spay soon. She will also be micro-chipped before adoption. Sweet, sweet girl who deserves the good life now with a patient and understanding owner. She has spent her entire life living in a cage, having the cute little puppies that are sold in petstores to unsuspecting people who don't know any better. When you buy a dog from a petstore you are supporting puppymills and all the horrors this entails for the parent dogs. Please e-mail for an application. She will need regular grooming once her coat grows out. And remember...Don't shop...Adopt!
