Description:
Bentley is a 2yo male Lhasa mix who was surrendered by his owner in rural TN, a hoarder who had kept him in a small cage with little human contact for most of his life. He has a medium activity level, loves to run and play outside, but then settles down quickly in the house. Likes to go for walks, loves to be with people, enjoys being petted and brushed. Great with kids, cats and other dogs. Recommended for children 12 years and older. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Housebroken and crate-trained. No issues such as separation anxiety, chewing or barking. Weighs about 10#, healthy, altered and utd on shots. Here's a note from his foster mom: 'When I got Bentley, he was like a doorstop because he would stand frozen to the spot you put him in and shake. After playing hide-and-seek under my Hoosier Cabinet for about a week, he started to warm up to me and the other dogs who brought him out of his shell. Bentley now runs in and out the doggie door, plays with the other dogs and always comes in to check on me. He's a very busy little guy and follows me around, moving his toys into whatever room I'm in at the time. His favorite place is on the back of the couch looking out the window or on the bed. He also loves to snuggle up beside me while watching TV and really loves to be scratched and petted. He doesn't shed so he's a great dog for anyone who doesn't want to deal with dog hair. Bentley is still a little shy and does run sometimes when I reach for him up because this is all new to him. He's learning that car rides are nothing to sit and shake about and leash walks can be fun. Bentley is looking for a home with adults and older children, would make a great companion for an older person and would do well in a home or an apartment.'
