Labrador Retriever
Primary Breed:
Labrador Retriever
Special Needs:
Molly, a 2 yr old chocolate lab female is currently being fostered by a friend of the shelter. She can be a little hyper at times but we're sure she'll grow out of that (cross your fingers). She has an extremely sweet personality and loves to be surrounded by lots of people. She is a jumper. She can jump very high. She would be excellent around children. However, she will have to go to a home with a high fenced in yard and kept on a leash outside the fenced in area because she is also a runner. She will require dedicated exercise both mentally and physically by walking her and giving her brain puzzling toys because she becomes bored easy. She has already been spayed and has her shots and is ready to go home with you if you can fulfill this criteria. The Obama's haven't called yet - better hurry!! If you are interested in this dog/puppy and want additional information (Still available?? Anything not contained in current description??) please call the shelter staff direct at 606-886-3189. PLEASE DO NOT e-mail for particulars. All adult dogs adopted from shelter are bathed and dipped, given all shots, including rabies, are spayed or neutered and have been tested for the presence of heart worms before leaving the shelter. Adoption fee is $50 for puppies too young for rabies vaccinations and $60 for dogs old enough to be vaccinated for Rabies. Dogs being adopted out of state (to rescue organizations for example) require veterinary Health Certification. There is a $10 fee for this in addition to the adoption fee.
