Description:
I'm a very handsome boy with a well-behaved personality. My first owner surrendered me because an older dog was just too jealous of my good looks! If you're looking for a well-seasoned dog without the headache of a new puppy, I'm your boy. Come in and see me today so we can go hiking this summer! Labradors are reliable, loving, loyal dogs who are obedient and easily trained. They are friendly and good with children and make good watch dogs. They adapt well to urban living but are a high energy dog that needs plenty of vigorous exercise. They are delighted to work and play hard. If you or your family dynamics cannot accommodate this, this is not the dog for you. If not exercised as needed, these dogs can quickly become obese. The labs usually have webbing between their toes and are good swimmers who love to do so. Their coat is dense and waterproof and can be maintained with regular brushing. The Labradors are prone to a few health problems such as hip and elbow dysplasia and eye diseases. He/She will need to be neutered/spayed by his/her new owner. He/She is eligible for ShelterCare Insurance as a Petfinder.com adoption and it is recommended that all newly adopted animals be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible for a checkup. Surgery, vaccinations, worming, flea treatment, heartworm testing and prevention can be discussed at this time. This dog will do well in a city setting with a fenced-in yard or in the country.
