Description:
Madge came to the Sanctuary as a new born with her litter mates, mom and dad. She was shy from the very beginning. When people would come to visit the litter she would run and hide or lay down a pee herself. The rest of the litter would run up to the people and beg to be petted. So once the whole litter was adopted, Madge was left behind. She was never abused and I handled her as much as I handled the rest of the litter. She is just naturally shy. She is not shy with me though. She loves all over me and is just one of the sweetest dogs I have ever known. Madge was recently shot by someone. You can see her story on www.myspace.com/DianneLoweBreakfield. You may have to join myspace to see her story. I don't want to take the space here to tell all about it but she is healing very well and will soon be completely healed. If you want to adopt this 'special needs' dog you will have to spend time with her to get her out of her shell. Once she gets used to you and learns to trust you, you will have a very wonderful pet. She will sleep with you, walk with you on a leash and follow you around to make sure you don't leave her.
