8/7 ~ UPDATE Blake is proving to be a very loyal companion. He does not leave my side. He is very good on a leash, very attentative and all around sweet little boy who loves Human Affection!
Blake is a very sweet and happy 4 mos old pup. He was rescued with his sister from a rural GA shelter and is currently being fostered here with us, other dogs and young Children.
Blake would rather be with the Humans than anywhere else. He adores attention. We are helping Blake to learn that jumping is not good manners. He is wonderful with young children otherwise and plays well with other dogs. Tho he is not aggressive, he does try to play with the Cats.
Blake is utd on his vaccinations, micro chipped and neutered. Blake is fully crate trained and almost fully housebroken! Blake's Adoption Donation is $250. This helps defray the costs of his vetting and time in Foster Care.
If you are interested in adopting Blake and providing him with a loving, responsible and permanent home, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an Adoption Application.
Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued pup!
A Little Bit About American Pit Bull Terriers: The Pit Bull immediately strikes one as being a dog of power, passion, and undying willingness. The American Pit Bull Terrier has a strong pleasure to please. By no means are these dogs people-haters or people-eaters. Their natural aggressive tendencies are toward other dogs and animals, not people. However if they are properly socialized they will not even be aggressive with them. These are truly quality companions for quality owners only! The American Pit Bull Terrier is a good-natured, amusing, extremely loyal and affectionate family pet, which is good with children and adults. Almost always obedient, it is always eager to please its master. It is an extremely courageous and intelligent guard dog that is very full of vitality. The American Pit Bull Terrier can be willful and needs a firm hand. Excellent with children in the family, they have a high pain tolerance and will happily put up with rough child play. A minimum of training will produce a tranquil, obedient dog. It has given outstanding results as a guardian of property, but is at the same time esteemed as a companion dog. When properly trained and socialized, this is a very good dog and a great family companion. Unfortunately, some choose to promote the fighting instinct in the breed, giving it a bad name.
