I'm Roxi and was I excited to see my foster home! I stood up and took notice when the car stopped in the driveway and I saw the house and the yard. I've been cooped up in a cage in a shelter for over a month. I am so lucky to come to a foster because they said 'I ran out of time.' Roxi is an adult spayed female somewhere around 4-5 years old! She is a Border Collie mix of medium size. Her foster mom says she has a lot of energy, is very smart, and listens really well. She knows how to sit for a treat, too. We think Roxi has had some training and would do well in most situations. She likes being petted and easily allowed a collar, harness and leash to be put on her. She is house trained and very sweet. Roxi will need a yard with at least a fence as she is really beginning to enjoy playing. We think she would like another dog to hang out and play with. She seems to have a pretty even temperament except for being nervous about a new place. We would be happy to have her be considered by a home with another dog and/or kids. Although Roxi does not jump fences, she will dart out doors and gates and keep running, so she is not a candidate for being off leash. We wonder if she still misses her owners and is trying to find them. Perhaps when she settles into her new home, she will feel safe and not need to search. Roxi's adoption fee is $150. She is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on vaccines, tested heartworm free and is on preventatives. As we do not have a facility, we can make arrangements for you to meet her after you complete and email an application from our adoption page at www.mishamayfoundation.org. Or, you are welcome to check our events page for our scheduled adoptathons. If you want to know if a certain dog will be there, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for that information.
