RESCUED DECEMBER '07!!! (and as of November 2009, she is still with us!!)Nala was chained in Ohio behind a house and left there by her former owner that moved away. The new owner that moved in was not going to take care of her and may have abused her. A neighbor stepped in and was taking care of her. The former owner stated that if Nala didn't find a home by 12/31/07 she would be put to sleep. That's when the neighbor contacted us for help and she was transported here to Indiana by another Rep in Ohio. She is 5 years old, spayed, vaccinated and heart worm negative. She has put on some weight since she has been with us and is weighing in around 55 pounds. She does blow her coat in the spring and fall, so be prepared to do some brushing. She is very sweet and gentle and not demanding of your attention. She has a very tender nature about her and would make an excellent companion. She doesn't jump on people and she knows sit and will stay. She doesn't get on furniture unless invited and she walks very well on a leash. She has shown aggression with other dogs, but not all dogs, depending on the dog and situation. Mainly to prove she's the alpha with other females, but gets along well with males. She doesn't have patience for small children. There is an adoption application, and a home visit to ensure that she is never chained again and lives a long healthy life. I am her caregiver and have been since we brought her from Ohio, if there are any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. She is an absolutely fantastic girl!
All of our Dogs are up to date on vaccines, on flea and heart worm preventative and spayed/neutered. There is an adoption application and a home visit to ensure than none of our Dogs will ever be chained/penned again
